Kayla DeMicco is a senior majoring in communications with a journalism concentration at The College of Saint Rose. On top of writing for Pine Hills Review, she works for Saint Rose’s student newspaper, The Chronicle. She also works part time at a local bookstore.
Emy Diaz is a sophomore at The College of Saint Rose. She is a communications major with a concentration in public relations and advertising. Besides being a student, she is an executive board member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. With English being her second language, she believes this opportunity will help her excel in her writing skills.
Jermain Griffiths is a freshman at The College of Saint Rose. He enjoy playing sports and working out, but writing is also one of his passions. Writing for him is a good way to express himself and let out his thoughts. He enjoy writing about his childhood, sports, and also writes a little poetry here and there. One of his goals is to write articles about sports and entertainment.
Claire Guzielek is a junior at The College of Saint Rose. She is studying B-6 childhood (early childhood) education. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her dog. She has many teachers in her family that inspired her to choose the career path that she did.
Brianna Loffler is a junior at The College of Saint Rose. She is an education B-6 major with a concentration in English. This is Brianna’s first semester at The College of Saint Rose. She recently transferred from SUNY Adirondack. Brianna enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling.
Reyna Neal is sophomore at The College of Saint Rose. Her major is inclusive early childhood education. In addition to being a student, she is also a teacher and booking agent for Youth and Teens Dance Company. She enjoys skin care and listening to music. Brianna Pearson is a senior at The College of Saint Rose. She is a transfer student and is originally from Florida. She has been living in New York since May 2020. She is an early childhood education major with a concentration in language arts.
Jack Pemrick is a senior at The College of Saint Rose. He is a communications major with a concentration in PR and advertising, and a writing minor. He is on the lacrosse team and wants to continue to work in athletics following his graduation from Saint Rose.
Luke Pemrick is a freshman at The College of Saint Rose. His major is communications. Luke is also on the men’s lacrosse team. Luke is very interested in the film industry and hopes to one day work making movies.
Jay Roundtree (they/she) is a Black queer writer and creative from Baltimore, MD. They are currently a junior at The College of Saint Rose studying communications with a minor in writing. When they’re not in school, Jay enjoys writing, drawing, and painting, and taking care of their plants.
Alexis Stephenson is a junior English major at The College of Saint Rose. In the future, Alexis wants to be a freelance content designer and believes being part of an editing and publishing course will help prepare her. When she’s not writing or reading, she spends her time alpine skiing and playing with her dogs.
Michael Waddingham is currently a sophomore at The College of Saint Rose. He is majoring in childhood education grades kindergarten through sixth grade with a concentration in history. He truly loves working with kids and cannot wait to become a teacher. Around his school schedule, he currently works in a children’s before-school day care program and as a classroom monitor during the week. He hopes that through his experience with Pine Hills Review he can improve his writing techniques, not only for himself but for him to pass onto his future students some day.
Aliya Vasquez is an English major with a minor in business administration and digital publishing at The College of Saint Rose. She enjoys writing and singing. Aliya is passionate about editing and ghostwriting. She intends on opening her own publishing company. Currently, she resides in Albany, NY in the Pine Hills neighborhood.
Sam Zimmerman (managing editor) is a senior English major at The College of Saint Rose. She loves writing poetry, experimenting with creative nonfiction, crocheting, and cuddling with her pet beagle, Lyric. She looks forward to putting her creative work out there in the world and pursuing an M.A. in order to further her skill set towards a career in English.
