“One Day at a Time” by Susan diRende

Reading by the author

I bought a new paintbrush
Real boar bristle
It didn’t help

My computer keeps crashing
It’s always something
Isn’t it

I’m out of lives in Candy Crush
It’s not even lunchtime

The dog whines for attention
Squeaks the ball
It’ll be okay
